Maggie Holmes Color Actions for Photoshop

***WARNING!*****WARNING!*****WARNING***
Serious enabling ahead. Proceed at your own risk.

If you haven't ever taken a peek over on Maggie Holmes's photography and scrapbooking blog, you really MUST! This woman is wicked talented and I'm always in awe over the sheer beauty of her photos.

The feature that makes her photos stand out (other than the fact that they're just beautifully staged and photographed) is the color treatments she applies to them. She usually posts for each picture what camera setting and what actions she used.

As if her photography talent isn't enough, the girl is also handy with her Photoshop skills. And now she's bringing her amazing color actions to a Photoshop program near you!

Click on over to her blog to see samples of her actions and find out for which Photoshop programs they are available at this time. I know she's working on bringing them to most programs but I'm not sure when they'll be ready. But trust me, they're well worth the wait if necessary.

So, here are my samples of the action sets. For comparison purposes, I applied each action to the same pic as is, that is to say, without messing with any of the settings.

Here's my pic as it was taken:

COLOR ACTION SET - currently available for Photoshop and for PSE 7.0, 6.0, 5.0 & 6.0 for MAC

Sun Kissed:

OK, I know I said I left the pics as is for these comparisons but I actually did lower the red on the sun kissed pic to 50% opacity. I have to say I absolutely love the way this one came out.

These next 3 actions are going to make you NEED to buy this set. I'm sorry. I warned you there would be some serious enabling in this post! The colors just POP right off the page. I can't wait to start applying these to all my scrapbook pictures!

Can't you see these vintage actions on your photos for wedding and heritage pages?
So, once again, I apologize if I've made you just HAVE to go buy some of these actions. I know they're so YUMMY.
And, if you have any questions before or after purchasing the actions, just shoot Maggie an email. She's an amazingly sweet person and is so easy to work with.
I can't wait to start using my actions on all my pictures!!
Thanks for bearing with me through this looooong post.
Heidi
p.s. I feel I must mention - I am not affiliated with Maggie Holmes's business nor did she ask me to do this. I just love her product THIS MUCH!! It's simply amazing.
