** Update...this layout actually won the Scrap That Poetry challenge!!! I'm so blown away!! Woohoo!!! And to put the cherry on top, I also get some super yummy goodies from Tessa's Precocious Paper etsy shop!!!!! Thanks STP Girls!!**
Today I am sad...today's Design Dollies challenge is my last one as a member of their Design Team. :o( I have so enjoyed being a part of this wildly talented, fun, and very quirky group of girls and I'm going to miss chatting with them on a regular basis.
Today's element challenge is a recipe, to include: 1) a frame of sorts, 2) a stamped image, 3) the color brown; 4) 3 flowers (no more, no less) (anyone else hear Henry from Oswald here?), and 5) butterflies.

Isn't morning sunlight AWESOME for pictures??!! I'm definitely going to have to enlarge this one and put it on the wall.
I also played along with Scrap That Poetry's Challenge #12 which is an Irish Blessing. I excerpted the line, "May the Sun Shine Warm Upon Your Face" to complement my picture. To see the entire Irish Blessing click HERE.
My stamped image for the Dollies challenge is the butterfly just above the word "shine". All the other butterflies are cut out of paper from the DCWV Mariposa stack. They're so rich in detail and colorful and/or sparkly!
Hop on over to the Design Dollies site to see what the rest of the DT made for your inspiration. Be sure to leave some love for my fellow exiting DT members Nicole and Ellen.
And I just want to send a huge shout out and THANK YOU to the three Design Dollies themselves - Adina, Kristy, and Leah! They are the greatest group of chickies! So much fun!!! They always made me feel welcome and they're really good ego-boosters. LOL! The incoming Design Team is going to love working with them.
Today is the first day back to school for my son from a 2 week, 1 day spring break. (Yeah, not sure why they had today off, too. And then they have this coming Friday off, too! Sheesh!) I'm so ready for MY break from the day-long mess-, whine-, scream-fests overrun with neighborhood children raiding my refrigerator and messing up my front yard. The kids were determined to end spring break with a bang, too. Yesterday the boy had a grand collision on a bike with another bike and GASHed his nose up really well. Quite a bloody mess. It was touch and go there for about an hour - I wasn't sure if we should have taken him in for stitches. In the end we decided not to. Hopefully it won't scar. Anybody have an opinion on that Mederma stuff??? Should I get some? And then, just a hour later the girl cut her toe while outside and the boy came screaming into the house that she was SQUIRTING BLOOD EVERYWHERE. Seriously, just about had a heart attack. Luckily she was merely minorly bleeding but I think they were both so wound up from the first accident that they overreacted. So, needless to say, I'm looking forward to my couple hours of solitude and silence tomorrow morning while they're both at school.
I think I'll just sit.
Stare off into space.
We'll see.
