Yea! I finally got to play along with Who's That Girl! I've been wanting to for so long. The current challenge, #5, is Risky Business, to document a potentially risky or dangerous thing you've done in your life.
I was an only child so the prospect of adding a second child to our family was a very risky venture for me emotionally. But, as you can see by my title, I've never regretted the decision to proceed.
On the right side of the picture is the pull for a hidden journaling card which describes why I felt like having a second child was a risk for me emotionally. But, as you can see, it's hidden journaling so I'm going to keep the exact details to myself. ;oD This layout is definitely going into MY album, not my daughter's, because even though on the surface it's about her, it's really about me and my feelings.
Of course, couldn't let a layout go by without some fun stitching.
I got the idea for the flower border from a similar embellie by Prima sold at Michaels.
Sooooo loving all the little extra fun stuff in the Ninja Addicts' "Don't Get It Twisted" kit. Of all the kits they've released so far, this is the only one I waffled on buying...and the one I've used the most of, to date. The colors just suit me!
Topped it all of with a cute little bow!
I had a great time playing along with this one. All the prompts I've seen so far for Who's That Girl are "thinkers" and I like that. I'm sure I'll play along again more often!
Just got back from seeing "How To Train Your Dragon". We saw the 2D version because the little girl above isn't a fan of the clunky 3D glasses. No matter - it was one of the most awesome children's movies I've seen in a loooong time. Definitely a must see. And there were places where I could see how 3D would've been just that much more amazing. I wouldn't say no to seeing it again but in 3D.
Hope your weekend outlook is bright!
Heidi
Details - Everything on the layout is from the Ninja Addicts' "Don't Get It Twisted" kit except: My Little Shoebox mini alpha stickers, DMC yellow floss, Barbie playing card, thread, masking tape & Zig Millennium pen used on flipside of card for the journaling.

ReplyDeleteSo glad you played along with us, and I love those flowers tucked under the border like that. Great idea... such a smartie, you are!!!
ReplyDeleteVery cool that you hid the journaling and made it for you. Needs to be done sometimes!
Hey Heidi Girl!
ReplyDeleteI adore this layout! Yes, at times I too must employ that hidden journaling technique! It turned out awesome! So far, my faves of the PNA kits are a tie between this one and the Monster one! I did one for WTG but have not shared it yet! I will be soon! I'm stumped on this one though...still thinking...I'll be a late participater on this one as well! Hope you had a great week!
Hugs,
Mo

Thanks for playing along this week at WTG! I was not a risk taker and sat this week out because my husband got his feelings hurt over what my risk was going to be. I look forward to seeing your next layouts!
ReplyDeletei love the way you've used that cute safety pin paper to kind of telegraph the subject in advance...it works on so many levels...plus it LOOKS FAB, too! the hidden journaling card is awesome...and i ♥LOVE♥ the flower border strip*! everything about this adds up to "AWESOME"! ♥
ReplyDelete(*i saw those as well & realllllly wanted one, but the only color was a sort of mustard yellow + i really thought that with how many flowers AND border stickers i own i could make one...and now you've made me think i should make one RIGHT NOW!!!!!!!!!!)
