Pink Ninjas BFF prompt

OK, I'm a bit late posting this one...this was last week's prompt on The Pink Ninjas - BFF.  It was sort of done yesterday but it just didn't look finished so I added a little sumpin' sumpin' and now I'm happier with it.  It just isn't living up to my vision but I just couldn't seem to arrive there.  Oh, well.

So this is a pic of me and my friend Lara a couple months ago.  We've known each other since FIRST GRADE in 1977!!!  Mrs. Middleton's class.  I still have fond memories of that class even though I can't remember much about many other classes in subsequent years.  I just remember Mrs. Middleton being an awesome teacher and having a ton of fun.  But, I digress. 

I don't see Lara very often anymore.  She lives across the country from me.  But I get to see her every couple years when she comes home to visit her parents.  It's so cool now to see how our lives have progressed.  Talk about our kids while remembering the games we used to play when we were their ages. 

I'm on a paint and sewing kick, can you tell?  AND, I even broke out the FOAM STAMPS!  Remember when those were the greatest and most sought after scrap tools a few years ago?  I have oodles of alphas, words, and shapes and I am ashamed to say I've probably used them maybe 5 times total, EVER.

Well, as mentioned, this was last week's prompt on The Pink Ninjas.  The prompt this week is collections.  I'm sure I'll have no problem finding a subject for this one!  Ha ha!
