Here's mine:
This is The Incredible Sleeping Girl.
.
My daughter can sleep ANYwhere, in ANY position, through ANYthing. Once she slept through the Disneyland French Quarter Marching Brass Band playing full volume two feet behind her head. She didn't stir.
Here she's sleeping with a dog hat. Our dog is so stubborn! If she wants to lay somewhere she doesn't care what or who is in her way. She just settled right down on DD's head.
Here she basically collapsed onto the chair and fell asleep there.
I guess it's a good thing she can sleep anywhere. It is nice when she falls asleep in the car or before she's dressed for bed. I can pick her up, move her around, completely undress and dress her, all without disturbing her.
So, back to the layout The Incredible Sleeping Girl...
Since the base paper was already all yummy with glossiness I tried to carry it through to the elements I created, too. So, the word "incredible", the "z"s, and the starburst outlines are all hit with Diamond Glaze. The robots are also embossed to be shiny.
Of course, true to late form, I had to include some machine stitching, too. My layouts almost feel naked without it, now. LOL.
My wonderful layout design is my interpretation of this week's Sketchy Thursdays sketch:
I took a bit of creative license with it, elimnating the vertical paper strip and moving the accent to the bottom corner (my robot), but isn't that what sketches are all about?? They're springboards from which your creativity should grow.
Thank you Diana for such an awesome sketch again this week!! Are you playing along on Sketchy Thursdays yet? Why not???!!! Come on! Head on over and link of your awesome interpretation of this sketch! This week's great prize is sponsored by Flamingo Scraps.
Details: DCWV paper; Basic Grey stamps; Cricut die cuts; JudiKins Diamond Glaze, Stampin' Up! marker; Stampendous embossing powder; thread.
Hope you are all having a good Monday, and for those of you in the US, a great Labor Day!
