I love this Easter in particular because my mom gave my son a stuffed lamb similar to one she bought for me before I was born.
March 201 issue
Her Easter card to my son that year retold that story.
She notes in the story that at the time she bought two stuffed animals for me - a lamb and a dog. I still have that dog today and yes, he does not really resemble a dog anymore but his state is a shining testament to how loved he has been over the past 38 years. He spent much of his life in my pillowcase giving silent comfort, although now he resides in a special basket in my closet.
