SOOOOO Mommy's Girl!! (warning - possibly offensive picture)

Happy Monday! This is going to be one of at least two posts today. The new SPCC color challenge is up but I'll post that one in a little bit...

OK, I have to warn you...the following layout may contain a possibly offensive picture to some. If I offend you in any way, I deeply apologize and please don't expect my future posts to travel the same path. It's just that I did this layout for a prompt for which this pic immediately jumped into my head. I've been wanting to immortalize it for some time and this was just perfect. I must say, my daughter OBVIOUSLY was not purposefully gesturing and this picture was just a completely random shapshot in time.

That being said...

The prompt this week on The Pink Ninjas was "chicks". I gotta say, I just love this little chick!! And, although, as mentioned, she was NOT purposefully flying the fickle finger, let me tell you this picture epitomizes the major moxy and spunk this little girl exudes. She's a HOOT!

I've been holding onto this love, Elsie paper for a while now and just discovered it again this weekend. I love it when that happens! It's like Christmas.

I wanted some black lace for the layout but didn't have any but that's why I stock white lace - to color it. I tried a few different black mediums (ink, glitter glue, etc.) and didn't get the result I wanted. Then I tried this pewter Lumiere and voila! I love it!!! So, it's not exactly black but I think it looks awesome.

I used the Heidi Swapp rhinestone hearts to highlight the title of the layout, "i Love THIS cHiCk." and "you rock." which I wholeheartedly shout both to the world about this little chickie pie!!

Details: love, Elsie paper by KI Memories; Heidi Swapp rhinestone hearts; creative Imaginations heart brads; Making Memories alpha stickers; Lumiere; DMC floss; Zig Milennium pen; Wyla lace; Michaels ribbon.

Hope your Monday rocks!

See you again in a bit!

Heidi
